Gotta book! 07/03/2009

Well, it's official--the Green Fences book is out and available in stores and on the Targum website. See it on the Targum Press homepage at www.targum.com or go directly to this link: http://www.targum.com/product.php/938/green-fences/ where you can even read an excerpt. I am so excited! The book has new, juicy material--Ruth's private diary, which gives another dimension to the story that was not revealed in the Mishpacha serial.

And now...for the million-dollar question: What did YOU think of the ending?

Thanks for the Mazel tov, Shan! :-)

Mordy, you'll like this one, too, I think, if you give it a try. As regards your question, sit tight; I think Chanukah time you'll get the book you're waiting for. That's the plan, at least. Right now, I need a good name for it. Any suggestions?

The story and the ending was so awesome! Wherever I go, people talk about it as if it's a story that is really happening and some of my friends said that they only buy the Mishpacha because of Green Fences (sorry Mishpacha). You did a fabulous job on this one and I'm looking forward to reading the new serial.

ZB--Now I'm blushing! :-) I hope everyone will like Shattered Glass--it has a totally different tone than Green Fences but a powerful message that needs to be said, IMHO at least!

Dear Riva,
As an amateur writer myself, I love your figurative language and use of multitudes of adjectives till the vision is clearly seen in front of my eyes.
Enjoyed Green Fences, would have liked a window into Ari's background as in parents, siblings, friends, etc. (or maybe i just missed them), Batya's family was introduced and part of the scenario yet Ari's were unknown.
As a middle-aged frum women with many married children, two girls and three sons so far....I personally would love to see some uplifting and bridge building episodes bt marrieds and parents (particularly the in law children)in articles, short stories and novels. In two chapters of 'Shattered Glass', we can already discern Huvi's attitude towards the mean, solemn and non energetic mother in law..
Keep on writing, it is appreciated in all circles. sincerely, tziporah

Since you asked...the ending was a bit disappointing. It seemed like Batya had learned nothing, after all they had been through, and still wanted to be like Ruth!
